FLOUROWARE
Flouroware
is the original manufacturer of PFA (Teflon) wafer carriers.
Founded in the 1960's, Flouroware spun off a number of successful
companies including FSI, Galtek and Empak. Flouroware continued
to grow through the 70's and 80's - introducing products for
fluid handling, disk media handling, parts cleaning, and finished
wafer and bare die handling.
Flouroware
was known as the industry leader in silicon wafer carriers and
process related products. It was challenged primarily by Empak,
which was stronger in the wafer shipping product arena. During
the 90's, Flouroware made
repeated attempts to capture the wafer shipping market with
a variety of product offerings while Empak began to make inroads
into the process carrier and storage markets. In
1999, Flouroware merged
with Empak to form Entegris. The combined companies went public
and are traded under the symbol ENTG. Today, Entegris has a
market capitalization of over $1-billion. Electronic Container
obtains Flouroware products as used and excess inventory from
wafer fabs and offers them to our customers at deeply discounted
prices.
Fluoroware is a registered trademarks of Entegris
which is not affiliated with Electronic Container.
