Founded in 1984, ASYST Technologies was the first company to commercialize the SMIF technologies developed by ASYST's founder, Mihir Parikh, while working at Hewlett-Packard. ASYST Technologies manufactures SMIF Pods in a wide range of sizes and configurations and supports them with enclosures, robotic transfer equipment and software. Products from ASYST Technologies extend to fab-wide automation software and Wafer Management Systems (Wafer Sorters).

Electronic Container obtains ASYST Technologies SMIF pods as used and excess inventory from wafer fabs and offers them to our customers at deeply discounted prices. SMIF pods from Empak (now Entegris) are also available.
